Behind The Build: Team Creates LEGO-Inspired Decades
Soon the Decades build out of LEGO bricks will be on display for guests within the Decades space!
The display was created by Jonathan Yeager, Decades Partner and Design/Development Manager, and Tony Gorick, Sales & Marketing Manager at Decades.
The finished Decades build (at least phase 1, they may add the new Ice Cream Bar at Decades still!)
The build took over two weeks to complete.
“We thought it would be awesome to have this LEGO-built Decades display,” said Tony Gorick, Sales & Marketing Manager. “Our brand is all about nostalgia and fun, so why not incorporate a toy that represents so much of that idea?"
“We've talked about building a LEGO Decades replica for a few years and we finally decided to build it now that we had a goal with the Brick Party event,” said Jonathan Yeager, Partner & Design/Development Manager. “It was quite a few late nights but we had a blast planning it out and constructing it!”
The two Decades team members measured out spacing, planned the colors of each brick, and added special touches like printed screen stickers of favorite arcade games.
The LEGO Decades build will soon be displayed within Decades for guests to enjoy and find hidden scenes, like Summer Santa Claus enjoying a cookie or a guest getting a gutter ball at bowling.
Jonathan and Tony built the LEGO display in the Decades basement over the course of a few weeks.
Stay tuned to see when you can next check out this LEGO Decades display!
