Not Just Games: A Focus On Food & Flavor

With bowling and games, Decades is a fun-filled entertainment experience. But some would be surprised to know how much focus goes into also planning a delicious menu full of creative flavors & ingredients—all curated to be elevated yet approachable.

Offering a full-service restaurant with dining areas that seat upwards of 80-100 guests, Decades isn’t just a destination for games–it’s a perfect spot for dinner with friends and family. Dining is all first-come, first-serve (catered events are offered for larger groups from 20 to 250+!).

The culinary team at Decades evaluates guest expectations, fresh ingredients, and creative inspiration to develop the menu that often changes with the season. Check out the most up-to-date menu here.

"Some people show up and have no idea how amazing our food and drinks are," said Zach Fortunato, Assistant General Manager at Decades. "They think because we have arcade games and a bowling alley that it will be more concession-like food. But we have a full kitchen and large dining room in our restaurant area that serves some fantastic dishes."

It’s not your typical bowling alley food—with an assortment of sandwiches, pasta dishes, salads, shareables, wings, and homemade ice cream delighting guests with delicious flavor.

Decades executive chef Kyle Lucas considers guest expectations when creating the variety of menu offerings, and the ingredients are often devised after having an idea in mind. Things to consider when developing a delicious addition is the flavor combination, the familiarity of the dish, and what can be a unique element in its creation.

It’s also important to the team to offer a variety of gluten free and vegan options. For the latter, the menu boasts popular items like the Boneless Vegan Chick’n Nuggets, the Vegan Chick’n Sandwich, and the Vegan Tips Sandwich.

“We want to make sure those attending can find food that they’d enjoy,” added Zach. “We have a lot of visitors who come here specifically for our vegan dishes since they are intentional and delicious.”

There’s also a kids menu so everyone can enjoy something delicious.

At Decades, it’s all about the experience–and that is the same for the food. The menu is bursting with shareable bites so guests can try all sorts of flavors while gaming in the arcade.

Some top sellers include the famous Fried Soft Pretzel Bites, Charred Wings, Decades Tacos, Sweet Potato Fries, Fried Doughnut Holes, and Truffle Fries.

Many of the items on the Decades menu are homemade–like all of the wing sauces, salad dressings, and ice cream flavors.

The team wants each item to be intentionally-made with quality ingredients that blend nostalgic flavors with creative twists.

Guests can explore a variety of sections on the menu including everything from Almost An Entree to Finger Food. Some of the most ordered items off the menu include the BLT Cheeseburger, the seasonal salad, the Fried Grape PB&J Uncrustables, and the Pretzel Fried Chicken Sandwich.

The menu often changes–so always explore the most recent version for the current, up-to-date items offered!

The food is fantastic–but guests don’t want to forget about the incredible bar program that offers everything from cocktails to mocktails, beer to wine, and unique drink experiences (you can explore the full drink menu here).

Decades is open Wednesday and Thursday 4pm-Midnight, Friday and Saturday Noon-1am, and Sunday Noon-Midnight. Decades is 21 and over after 8:30pm, so anytime before that is great for families.

With hassle-free parking at the North Queen St. garage, it’s easy to plan your visit and enjoy the delicious menu while playing over 40 retro arcade games at this nostalgic, fun experience in downtown Lancaster.
